Abou Sylla is a master balafonist, percussionist and Permanent Artist Resident of the United States, with a music career spanning five decades. Abou's main percussion instrument is the "balafon," a small-keyed wooden xylophone from his home of origin, Guinea, West Africa. Abou teaches and performs globally. He holds weekly classes in balafon and drumming at the Peterborough Recreational Department, Peterborough, New Hampshire. He lives in the Monadnock Region of Southern New Hampshire, USA.
